Making an Online Video to Get Your Message Across

Thursday, May 27th, 2010 by Nikolas Severidt

Megaphone TeamIf you’re a small business owner who does most of your marketing and sales online, then you most likely have a website. You probably have the mission of your company on your website, as well as some information about your product or services, and you have also probably included persuasive materials, such as graphs and customer testimonials. All of this is necessary for succeeding in online business. Now it’s time to take your business to the next step. It’s time to consider online video to help get your company’s message out there. There are some great benefits to using online video, but there are also many mistakes that amateur business people make that stop them from getting the most out of this new medium. Here you will learn how to increase sales and expand your network by using video.

The key is to find a media professional who can help you get started. If you have never made a professional video before, then the process can and most likely will be costly and time-consuming. A media professional can make your online video look sleek and persuasive. A specialist has worked with video many times in the past. He or she will know how to get the best film making equipment for the best price, how to give your video an authoritative edge, and also how best to distribute your video.

When you find a media specialist who is best for your company, make sure that you have a target audience ready. You could send an email with the video attached to any email address you will find, but the chances of hitting the bull’s eye are going to be slim. The solution to this problem is to do some market research. You need to find out who your potential clients are. Find out where they are located and what websites they often visit. This information is available if you do the research to find it. If you send your online video to these potential clients, then you will be speaking to the people who want to hear what you have to offer.

Make sure your media specialist designs your video to look the way you want it to look. Your specialist is a professional, remember, so you should feel open about sharing your company’s goals and mission with him or her. Be sure to talk about how you want the online video to feel to the viewers and what message you want to get across. If your message is cost, then this should be at the forefront of the content. If your message is reliable service, then make sure the viewers understand that when they come to you, they will get more than they paid for.

The new YouTube 5 Year Channel is the main page for the campaign.  YouTube intends to get users to submit videos about how YouTube has impacted their lives over the past 5 years.  They eventually want to turn it into a documentary, depicting the social media’s platform history and a collection of videos from celebrities discussing the past five years at YouTube.

The Future of Marketing is Now

Friday, May 14th, 2010 by Nikolas Severidt

future-of-marketingThis is an exciting time to be a small business owner. The number of ways in which businesses are able to get their name and message out to the public is constantly increasing. With the internet, business owners can market to thousands of potential customers who in the past they would never have been able to contact. This article will get you started in using some exciting new technologies that are allowing small business owners in the know the chance to make their companies sore into big profit success.

One of the most exciting new technologies is online video. Online video is doing wonders for many small businesses. You can post videos almost anywhere on the internet. There are sites, such as YouTube, that get millions of visitors. If you post a video on a site like this, you are bound to get viewers who would never have heard of your business otherwise. You can also post videos on your company’s website. Try a few customer testimonial videos, in which a real-life customer talks about the satisfaction received from working with your company. You can also consider putting yourself in a video, that way you can describe your business’s mission and plans for growth to your website’s visitors.

Email newsletters are a great way to keep your clients and business associates informed. Send out an email newsletter as often as you see fit, but you don’t want to overdo it, otherwise your clients might get tired of seeing your name in their inbox. Sending out a newsletter about once a month sounds like a good schedule. If you want to give your emails some extra character, then consider dropping a video in now and again. Your clients will appreciate your creativity and will be bound to be more interested if you are using these great new technologies.

Make sure your small business is visible on networking sites. Networking sites are online venues where people with similar interests can chat and share information, leads, and general knowledge about the markets that interest them. Make sure that when you choose to use one of these sites that you are tapping into a customer base that is right for you. This is a matter of finding potential. Knowing how to find potential for sales comes with experience. If you are new to the business world, then you might want to consider hiring an online marketing professional who will give you some intriguing ideas about where to get started.
