email-marketing-spend-is-growing-take-steps-to-maximize-deliveryIf you are using email marketing to drive potential clients to your website to buy or take action, then you know that getting them to sign up for an email subscription through your website is half the trouble.  Your goal is to make them think that if they do not subscribe, then surely they are going to be missing out on something.  What is that something? Is it a great deal, a fantastic product, an irreplaceable report or information that is of value to them?  What is that thing? That is what you must know.  Know this, and you are on your way to a huge database of subscribers.

Once you know the hot spot of your potential subscriber, getting them to commit to you is the next step in the email marketing process.  Many people will wonder if you will distribute their email address and name to others or will you even use it by selling it to others.  They value their privacy, and since so many things are up and connected to their email address, they do not want just anybody emailing to that address.  They don’t want a bunch of spam in their inbox every morning that arrived at 2:34am from a really bizarre looking email address.  So make sure they know that their privacy is important to you as much as it is to them.  And put a little more temptation into the deal at this point.

incentiveWhen email marketing, you want to spice up the deal by offering them one more thing near the submit button to subscribe that will let them know that it’s the right decision to sign up. Perhaps they will be entered into a drawing for a coveted prize by people of this market segment.  Maybe you can offer a free first visit or discounts.  Whatever gimmick you use to let them know you are worth their email address, make it count for the potential customer.

Finally, one more thing that’s really helpful in email marketing is to test out your email strategy.  Try out two or more email tactics, and see which ones yield the best results.  So, when marketing efforts are being made via email, first you want to be sure you know who your customers are and what their hot buttons are.  Then you want to assure them you value their privacy and offer them something that they cannot possibly stand to miss out on.  Then, test out a few ideas to see which ones work best.  Use these tips and you’ll learn more about what works than anything else.

What Buyers Want from Your Website

As you probably know, your website is a key component to your marketing and lead generation strategy. RainToday surveyed more than 200 buyers of B2B services - in companies of all sizes - to find out which elements of a website were most important when viewing a service provider’s website.

Top 4 Elements:

  • Service Descriptions (87%)
  • Description of Industries Served (78%)
  • Success Stories/Case Studies (73%)
  • Professional Website Design and Presentation (69%)

When you are getting started you want to really lay out these four parts of your website, but the other six are equally important and are many times the reason people land on your website in the first place.  Your website is an extremely effective marketing tool, when done correctly, but a poorly put together website can make potential buyers and customers leave and never come back.

Finding Qualified Customers with Effective Generation Lead Marketing

Thursday, January 28th, 2010 by Nikolas Severidt

Generation lead marketing is a great way to reach a highly targeted audience.  Although this kind of technique has been around for awhile, the internet provides even more ways to find customers.  However, many people are not quite sure how to go about reaching their ideal audience.  There are definitely ways to learn the proper methods to this, but it could end up costing both a lot of time and money that could be better spent by you in product development and customer service.

One of the keys to successful generation lead marketing is figuring out what keywords customers might use to find your product.  With the large amount of websites out there, one or two general terms will oftentimes not be enough to lead a potential client to your website.  It is essential to think of and include a few different terms on your site that are highly relevant to your company.  This allows people already looking for something similar to find your company.  By having your webpage rank high on a search engine’s list is the ultimate form of lead generation.

There are also other ways to utilize the internet in order to drive traffic to your site and thus increase sales.  Some popular generation lead marketing techniques are e-mail, newsletters, online videos, and building a presence on various social networking sites.  By sending out e-mails and newsletters, people are informed about your company and can then choose to take further action if they are interested.  Sending out these feelers does not take a lot of time on your part and they supply you with a population of customers with a strong interest in your product.

Some methods for generating leads, such as videos and social networking, can even directly increase your position on search engines.  Social media websites, such as Facebook and Twitter, usually result in the highest amount of potential customers and often take even less effort than e-mail marketing.  The reason for the success of these techniques lies in the fact that they take advantage of free, word-of-mouth advertising.  Everyone knows that a testimonial or referral from a friend holds more weight than information coming from a company itself.  Therefore, just a few satisfied customers will lead to more and more people craving your product.  Although these methods seem straightforward, it is often best to find someone to advise you through the process.  With a little help, generation lead marketing will drastically increase your number of customers.
